Department of Children's Work Seed Grant Application

The Education and Leadership Ministries Commission has been blessed with some restricted endowment funds set up to support the ongoing work of faith formation, leader development, and education and advocacy.  One such restricted endowment is the Department of Children’s Work.  This fund was created from the dissolution of the International Association of Daily Vacation Bible Schools.  By action of the ELMC Administrative Board, a drawdown of this fund is available to support some of the ongoing work within ELMC, namely projects with a focus on children or on behalf of children.  These projects must be a part of the ongoing work of program ministry committees of ELMC.  The projects must begin by June 30, 2011, and be completed by June 30, 2012.  It is the expectation that there will be a substantive update of the projects given at the January 2012 ELMC meeting.  The commission will be able to offer a number of grants in amounts not exceeding $3000.
