WCC Stewards Program and Ecumenical Leadership Training Seminar-2009
The World Council of Churches is looking for several young adults (18-30) from all over the world to participate as stewards for the next Central Committee of the WCC, and participate in ecumenical leadership trainings to held in Geneva Switzerland, August 19th-September 4th.
The Young Adult Task Force of the US Conference for the WCC launches FaithConnectsUs!
After a year of hard work and preparation, the members of the Young Adult Task Force of the WCC are thrilled to launch FaithConnectsUs, and welcome the participation of ecumenically engaged young adults throughout US and beyond!
Task force members include: Rev. Motoe Yamada (UMC and WCC Central Committee), Mr. Ray Ranker (ELCA and ECHOS), Rev. Robyn Fickes (DoC), Ms. Katrice Noland (PNBC), Ms. Laura Everett (UCC and Mass. Council of Churches), Mrs. Kathryn Lohre (ELCA and WCC Central Committee), Mr. Reggie Bachus (NBC, USA Inc.), Rev. Eric Fister (UCC and EAPPI), Mr. Jordan Blevins (Church of the Bretheren and NCC Eco-Justice), Mr. David Fraccaro (UCC and US Conf for the WCC Young Adult Ecumenical Formation Coordinator).
New Fire: Young Adult Ecumenical Days, November 8-11, 2008
Over 40 young adults from some 17 different church communions, representing 10 young adult ecumenical organizations and initiatives, numerous universities, seminaries and divinity schools, and local churches came together for a three day ecumenical formation event entitled-New Fire.

The Young Adult Task force of the US Conference for the WCC will address church leaders at the US Conference for the WCC's annual meeting, "Claiming God's Promise: Towards the International Ecumenical Peace Convocation," to be held in Washington, DC, Dec. 2nd-4th!
NCC Ecumenical Work Week 2008
The US Conference of the World Council of Churches sent down an ecumenical young adult delegation to work in the rebuilding process of New Orleans during the National Council of Churches Ecumenical Work Week, August 17th-23rd, 2008.
WCC Ecumenical Water Network Summer School, Ecumenical Institute at Bossey
Twenty WCC young adults gathered at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey in Geneva, Switzerland for the Ecumenical Water Network's, Water Summer School.
Young Adult Ecumenical Forum 2008
Over fifty young adults gathered for the fifth annual Young Adult Ecumenical Forum at Wesley Seminary in Washington, D.C. This year's event focused on the issue of Human Trafficking and Modern-Day Slavery.
